The water running through the proper biological filter media inside A.L.F.A. is exposed to free-moving air, which keeps the water oxygen rich and radically improves the efficiency of the nitrifying bacteria. Multi-purpose adjustable holder
1 - Sump mount arms
Allow holder vertical adjustment 0 - 15 cm in five 3 cm steps. Each arm is mounted on the holder by means of 2 dogs and 2 M6 plastic bolts.

Specification
Water is directed from pump (1) through water pressure pipe (3) to the upper water distribution cell (4) ensuring optimal trickling of media. Chamber interior can be optionally divided into 2 media sections by means of inserting media tray 1 (5) between distribution cell (4) and bottom media tray 2 (6).
Top edge of adjustable water outlet tube (2) should be positioned about 10 mm above the bottom of the chamber to create trapping space of accidentally fallen particles from the media sections above. Water outlet tube (2) and pump intake (1) shall be mounted opposite in direction.
By combination of holder vertical adjustment and media trays following options are available:

Fine-grained Media Tray
This tray is intended for using with fine-grained media. Hair-inlets are tight enough for any commercial materials used in reefkeeping. Large tray remover opening is blocked with rotatable cover.
